On one side, the turntable master and leading light of Turntableast Crew: DJ P. On the other side, the French Alps most meticulous digger and sample grinder: Le Spectre. These brothers from another mother, loose canons of the musical landscape, decided to merge their free spirits to create “The Psychotic Brothers.” For this project, the two esthetes unite their skills and their love for digging – this not quite lost art – to give birth to a mixtape that could change your perception about music from the ‘60s: BRAIN SOUP.

“Brain Soup” takes you on board for a ride in a space-time where psychedelic sounds melt with the raucous breakbeats that were an early influence on Hip Hop. Raw snares, fuzzy guitars and rumbling bass lines create a vast world filled with a dark heavy atmosphere, interspersed with cinematic moods and precise scratching. This mixtape is a bridge between reality and the mystical, and its identity lays in the edges of surreal ‘60s movies. Listening to it plunges you into a sweet yet sinister dream, where the groove is as haunting as it is banging.

“Brain Soup” is a musical trip without wrong note, transporting you to the 60s sound universe, where creativity keeps renewing itself.
